Our History

Word in Season Ministries is the result of a devout follower of God, heeding to God's calling him and his family to His service.

Pastor Mack McCullough, along with his wife, Co Pastor Freida, knew for years that the Lord had placed an unmistakable yearning in their hearts to be an advocate for Him and use all they have been blessed with to bring God's word to the masses. Although they knew it was inevitable that this would one day materialize, they waited until they were certain that it was in God's timing and not their own.

That call came in January of 2007 and the reassurance that the timing was perfect is evident in every service as we see lives changed. The membership continues to grow, the commitments stand firm, and the blessings are abundant.

Pastor Mack & Co-Pastor Freida are continually in awe of how the Lord's plan falls into place. Word in Season Ministries started out taking baby steps, hosting their first official prayer service in their own home on January 30th, 2007. They were able to secure the auditorium at Middle Georgia Technical College (MGTC) and this is where the first bible study took place on February 4th, 2007. Then on April 8th, 2007, Word in Season Ministries opened its doors to the public for Worship Services. Since then there have been no more baby steps but rather leaps and bounds!

Services are still being held at MGTC to date, but not for long. Just 1 year after beginning this journey, Word in Season Ministries purchased 15 acres of prime real estate for its future home.

The membership continues to grow and now has approximately 100 members. Having many members, each with their own unique spiritual desires, brings with it a need for a variety of ministries. A vast array of knowledge can also be found in a large group. Because those members are willing to share that knowledge with others they have been able to support quite a few ministries. For our younger members we offer the "Children of Change" program. Our youth participate in "The Soldiers for Christ" (S4C) ministry. We welcome the women to join the "Women of Destiny" ministry. We have a "Men's Ministry", an "Outreach" program, a "Sound of Praise Music" ministry, a "Singles Ministry", a "Hospitality Ministry", and even more!

Because of active membership, the ministry was able to feed over 300 families for Thanksgiving 2007; organized events such as a Father's Day Sports Day; a Marriage Enrichment Retreat weekend at a wonderful resort and more events now taking shape for the future.

We have been so blessed to have the support and guidance of our own pastor, Bishop- Elect, Dr. G. Vincent Dudley of New Life in Christ Interdenominational Church in Ofallen, Illinois. His continued commitment to our ministry reinforces what Pastor Mack notes as a word from God...... Attempt Great... Expect Great Things.

We believe that as we succumb to God and His leadership, that this IS our Season. And with that belief held in our hearts, we proclaim....... "For Every Season there is a Word in Season". Isaiah 50:4
